Communities with Jack.org

Jack.org Communities empowers youth and allies to lead mental health promotion initiatives in the spaces where they live and learn, to create lasting change for mental health through education and open dialogue that foster community wellbeing.

Through Jack Chapters and Jack Champion groups, our Community Assessment Tool (CAT), and Community Collaboration Spaces (CCS), youth create safe, inclusive spaces where they and their peers feel safe, supported, and inspired to take local action for mental health.

Jack Chapters

Jack Chapters are youth-led groups that create spaces for connection and belonging for young people. Chapters provide safe, inclusive spaces for youth to connect with one another, learn about mental health, and advocate for mental health issues that matter to them.

By fostering belonging, breaking down stigma, and driving change at the community level, Chapters give youth the tools they need to become mental health advocates in their own communities.

Jack Champions

Jack Champions are youth groups that bring mental health promotion initiatives into spaces where youth already connect — sports teams, cultural organizations, youth centers, and beyond.

By bringing Jack.org’s mental health resources into existing spaces, Champion initiatives reach young people where they are. This flexible model reduces barriers and is designed to help more young people, especially equity-deserving youth, access mental health programming with ease.

Community Assessment Tool

Take a deep dive into what mental health supports look like in your community by taking part in the Community Assessment Tool. You'll work alongside Jack.org staff to explore strengths, supports, and challenges to mental health in your local community.

Community Collaboration Space

Create a space to deep-dive into topics that are important to the mental health of your community. With Jack.org's support, you'll design an event for young people and work with other groups to bring community together to learn, support, and make change.

Make Mental Health Conversations Possible

With your support today, thousands of young people across Canada will get essential mental health education from a peer they can relate to through Jack Talks, Jack Chapters and Be There Certificate.
