Jack.org is committed to having youth at the front and centre of the work we do. We believe young people deserve a seat at the table and the opportunity to co-create relevant programming that is informed by the diverse voices and lived experiences of the youth we serve.
That’s where our Youth Voice Council (YVC) comes in. Our YVC is made up of 20 young people aged 18 to 25 from across Canada. The council members spend the term actively shaping Jack.org’s work through meaningful co-creation with staff and authentic youth engagement within one of four subcommittees: Digital Programming; In-Person Programming; Marketing, Communications, and Development; and Research and Evaluation. This program is special, as it connects youth with professional development opportunities aligned with their interests, skills, and future career paths. Working on impactful projects gives youth unique mentorship, networking, community building, and leadership experience in the non-profit industry that sets them up for success. At the same time, Jack.org gains valuable insights and perspectives from youth leaders that strengthen our program offerings.
The 2025 + 2026 Youth Voice Council term runs from October 2025 to June 2026. Recruitment for next year’s YVC will begin in summer 2026 - keep an eye on our socials and job boards!
