Arwa is a PhD student in Immunology at the University of Toronto, where she studies how the immune system functions in health and disease. She has been a dedicated Jack Talk speaker with Jack.org for the past six years, motivated by her passion for youth mental health advocacy. Arwa believes that open conversations about mental health are key to reducing stigma and building communities where people feel safe to share their experiences and seek support. She hopes to continue promoting this openness through her work as both a scientist and a mental health advocate. Outside of academics and advocacy, she enjoys creating art, hiking, and spending time with friends and loved ones.
