Janani Venkat
Janani Venkat is a graduate student at the University of Toronto, where she studies biological chemistry. Her involvement with Jack.org began in high school after hearing an inspiring Jack Talk, and she's now in her fourth year as a Jack Talks speaker. During her undergraduate degree, she founded and led the Dalhousie University Jack chapter, helping spark mental health conversations in her home province of Nova Scotia. Janani is passionate about empowering young people to care for their mental health and in increasing diversity in the mental health conversation. In her free time, she can be found reading by the ocean, participating in student leadership initiatives, exploring local coffee shops, or (yet again!) rewatching Schitt's Creek.
