We’re proud to welcome HEADSTRONG and The Inquiring Mind (TIM), two established youth mental health programs developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada, to Jack.org.

Effective September 8, 2026, Jack.org has assumed responsibility for both programs, building on more than a decade of work supporting young people, educators, schools, and communities across Canada.

HEADSTRONG and The Inquiring Mind share a strong connection with Jack.org’s mission: giving young people and the people around them the knowledge, skills, and confidence to understand mental health, challenge stigma, support one another, and take action in their communities.

Bringing these programs to Jack.org will allow us to build on their success, strengthen our work with schools and educators, and reach more young people with the mental health education and support they need.

“We’re honoured to welcome HEADSTRONG and The Inquiring Mind to Jack.org,” said Michael Braithwaite, President and CEO of Jack.org. “These programs have already made a meaningful difference in the lives of young people, and we look forward to building on that success and expanding their reach in schools and communities across Canada. This transition reflects our shared commitment to ensuring proven youth mental health programs continue to grow and evolve to meet increasing demand.”

Developed through the Mental Health Commission of Canada’s Opening Minds initiative, both programs have a strong track record of creating meaningful impact.

HEADSTRONG is a youth-led anti-stigma initiative that equips young people to challenge stigma, change the way their peers think about mental health, and create positive change in their schools and communities.

The Inquiring Mind is an evidence-informed mental health education and stigma-reduction program designed for post-secondary students. It helps participants better understand mental health and mental illness, recognize signs of declining or improving mental health, build resilience and coping skills, and create more supportive communities.

“HEADSTRONG and The Inquiring Mind are powerful examples of what can happen when we identify a need, build an effective solution, and work with partners to maximize impact,” said Lili-Anna Pereša, President and CEO of the Mental Health Commission of Canada. “We’re proud of what these programs have achieved and confident that Jack.org is the right organization to help them reach even more young people across Canada.”

Jack.org and the Mental Health Commission of Canada have worked closely together to support a smooth transition, with no disruption to existing programming or services.

We’re excited about what comes next—and about the opportunity to bring these proven programs together with Jack.org’s growing suite of mental health education and youth leadership programs to help more young people across Canada build the knowledge, skills, connections, and communities they need to thrive.
